The huge sacred site of Newgrange can be seen from a distance it is said of fifty miles. I saw the site early in the morning rising out of the mist hence the first line. It describes how mans hand raised such a monument that even the Gods were amazed at it. The spiral patterns twist and return like life itself and still the pilgrims come to see the amazing achievement of the ancients. So come now across the land gather at the sacred place.

Such majesty across fields of green purple clover sweet
Three corners came tribute now rock crystal and the stone
Honed by the men who loved the land unto their very bones.
Countless years of toil to rise a temple high and wide
The gateway dazzling crystal white arrested Gods in flight
It drew them into chambers deep, they marvelled at mans hand
Struck upon the rocks inside symbols sky and land.
